Associate Vice President / Chief Diversity Officer Search

The Associate Vice President/Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) has the responsibility to develop, implement, and provide strategic leadership for SUNY Potsdam's Diversity Plan, diversity programs and policies that result in a learning and workplace environment that is welcoming, supportive and inclusive for all students, faculty and staff. The Chief Diversity Officer reports directly to the president.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Provide campus leadership for diversity efforts focused on minority and underrepresented students, faculty and staff.
  • Collaborate and serve as a resource as the college makes progress towards its diversity goals.
  • Provide oversight over campus Affirmative Action, non-discrimination and Title IX functions, and be responsible for policy expertise and guidance on all aspects of diversity and inclusion.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a master's degree with five years of relevant experience in a leadership role directly related to diversity, inclusion, equality, social justice and civil rights compliance.
